Casa do Comediante offers you the chance to enjoy a relaxing vacation at any time of the year in the tranquil atmosphere of the lush countryside that is very different from the coastal resorts of the 'Costas' in southern Spain. Casa do Comediante in Galicia can be found in many beautiful, rural locations around the region and are the ideal solution for a family holiday - apartment rentals in Galicia, on the other hand, are perfect for a quiet and intimate break for two in a peacefully secluded situation with just the right ambience for a romantic holiday. Farmhouses and cottages in Galicia, however, will put you in the middle of rolling, green landscapes bursting with olive groves, vineyards and fruit orchards with stunning views over the distant mountains, giving you a truly Spanish experience in the typical rustic architecture that is unique to Galicia - holiday cottage and farmhouse rentals being the ideal choice of accommodation in Spain for anyone looking for a charmingly rural and totally authentic holiday rental. In Galicia, villas and apartments provide an abundance of quality facilities and home comforts making it hard to choose between them and a holiday farmhouse or cottage in Galicia - bed and breakfasts also being available, just to make your decision even more difficult!

Galicia is a region where the land and sea work harmoniously to provide the very best natural produce. Add to this the mild climate and abundance of natural springs and you have the perfect ingredients for great food and just as important fabulous wine. First the food; all the restaurants close to the house serve the fresh produce of the day. Specialties are of course fish, wild boar, local steaks and other meats on the grill, chicken roasted with garlic and Pulpo de Gallego (Octopus) All the food is reasonably priced and the restaurants are very accommodating. The bread in Galicia is special – sort of like French Bread but bigger and softer – perfect to accompany your meal. Finally the wine and liqueurs. The famous Albarino white is wonderful, crisp and fruity but not too dry, grown on the lower slopes of the hills with their temperate climate. The local reds are also very good and well worth a try. The vineyards are further inland, known as the Ribeira Sacra. The wines are pretty inexpensive and normally very drinkable. All the mountain regions have their own liqueurs; coffee, Herb and a sort of Bailey’s. Our region has the best! (and I have tasted a few) perfect to finish any meal with a coffee, but be careful, normally they leave you the bottle and saying no can be difficult!
